The brand new MacBook Pro with 16-inch display diagonal seems to have a similar problem as the MacBook Pro 15″ from 2018.
The thing with the crackling speakers - it sounds so familiar. Last year there were reports that the MacBook Pro 15" (July 2018) was struggling with audio problems. Now buyers of the MacBook Pro 16" are complaining about similar things. There are numerous posts in various forums saying that the new professional notebook also makes noises when playing audio. The topic is discussed under the title "cracking/popping sound". The noises can occur when playing music or videos, among other things. There is no exact pattern yet. What triggers the problem is not yet known.
While some believe that there is a connection with Final Cut Pro X, others believe that there is a problem with QuickTime. But the bug cannot be narrowed down. According to reports, Apple is already working on fixing the error, although the company has not yet commented on the whole thing. Those affected will therefore have to be patient for a little while. It can be assumed that Apple will release an update soon - as it did last year. (Photo by blackzheep / Bigstockphoto)
