Apple recently introduced the brand new MacBook Pro 2021 series and AirPods 3. The company is also now selling a polishing cloth. The products are now officially available, and here is an overview.
Apple introduced two MacBook Pro models - in 14- and 16-inch sizes - at its October event. The new MacBook Pro features the "M1 Pro" chip with 8 high-performance cores and 2 high-efficiency cores, a 16-core graphics processor and 32 GB of RAM. There is also an "M1 Max" chip that doubles the RAM and GPU again. Prices for the 14-inch MacBook Pro start at 2,249 euros and the 16-inch MacBook Pro starts at 2,749 euros. The design of the MacBook Pro has also been completely redesigned. It now has thinner edges, but with a cutout for the webcam - the well-known iPhone notch. The mini-LED screen has more pixels, supports high contrast and a peak brightness of 1600 nits and runs with ProMotion technology, i.e. at 120 Hz.
MacBook Pro 2021: Two different charging options
The 2021 MacBook Pro also features an HDMI port, SD card reader, and MagSafe for magnetic charging. Screen resolutions have also been significantly increased to allow for even higher DPI displays. The laptop's design has also been revamped and is now more "boxy." There are a total of 3 Thunderbolt 4 ports. The headphone jack has also been upgraded. MagSafe returns with higher power throughput, with charging still possible via the Thunderbolt ports. The M1 Pro chip is a scaled-up version of the M1 chip with up to 200GB/s memory bandwidth, up to 32GB RAM, and more than twice as many transistors. According to Apple, CPU performance is about 70% faster than the M1, and GPU performance is about twice as much. M1 Max doubles the memory to 64GB and the size of the GPU to 32 cores.
AirPods 3 in brand new design with more features
In addition to new MacBook Pro models, Apple has also introduced the AirPods 3. As part of the update, not only was the range of functions refined, but the design was also revised. Thanks to their shorter stems, they now look more similar to the AirPods Pro than ever before. But what exactly can they do compared to their predecessors? According to Apple, they deliver significantly better audio performance and offer better bass. But the absolute highlight is the integration of spatial audio and head tracking.
AirPods 3: Price and availability
Battery performance has also been significantly improved. According to Apple, the brand new AirPods 3 will offer up to six hours of battery life, and thanks to the case, this increases to 30 hours. Greg Joswiak, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Apple, said:

Apple now sells a polishing cloth
In addition to new hardware, Apple is also selling new accessories, including a special polishing cloth that was previously only available with the Pro Display XDR. It is suitable for all displays and can be purchased for 25 euros. Since demand is quite high, interested parties must currently expect a delivery time of 10 to 12 weeks.
