It's safe to assume that the impact on battery life is fairly minimal, but you may want to turn it off if you've been experiencing battery life issues since installing iOS 16. Interestingly, the feature isn't yet integrated into Low Power Mode, although Apple says keyboard feedback could affect your iPhone's battery life.
