Do the new iPhone Xs models have a problem with cellular and Wi-Fi? At least that's what some users claim, while others have not noticed any problems.
Evil tongues are already talking about "Antennagate" - most recently known from the iPhone 4. The statements are certainly the opposite. Some complain about a weak mobile signal with the iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max. The iPhones are said to have a weak signal, especially in buildings. According to the online magazine 9t5mac, even the iPhone 8 and iPhone X have better reception. Macworld disagrees. The online magazine has carried out several tests.
The result is that the new iPhone models have a significantly better cellular connection and higher speeds - even on Wi-Fi. Others complain about a poorer Wi-Fi connection. According to MacRumors, the Xs models prefer 2.4 GHz networks to 5 GHz networks. This could possibly be fixed with a software update.
It remains to be seen in which direction the whole thing will develop – we ourselves cannot confirm any of these problems.
