The replacement for 3D Touch on the iPhone Xr is called Haptic Touch. In the new version, the user receives haptic (vibrating) feedback by long-clicking.
The function was originally known under the name Force Touch from the Apple Watch. The iGroup had to optimize this feature in the iPhone X due to the missing home button. The haptic feedback is also used in Macs and is also known there under the name Force Touch.
In the latest beta of iOS 12.1.1, the feature was found in the expanded notifications. This means that if the user presses and holds a notification for a long time, the view is expanded and the iPhone Xr provides haptic feedback.
3D Touch too expensive
Although 3D Touch is an improvement and popular with some users, the function has not been a great success. The sensors required for it also make the manufacture of the displays much more difficult, which is why production is also more expensive. If 3D Touch were more popular among users, Apple would probably continue to use the feature. Due to this fact, its abolition is becoming increasingly likely - this is by no means a regrettable thing, as Apple ultimately has a replacement to offer with haptic feedback. Therefore, no one should be bothered by the change.
