Rumors say that Apple plans to introduce the iPhone 9 this month. A new iPad Pro could also follow. While the iOS 13.4 code does not contain any references to the devices, things are different with iOS 14.
iOS 14 is currently being picked apart by US media. An early Apple internal preview that is circulating reveals a ton of new features. It also contains references to new products, including the iPhone 9 and iPad Pro 4. 9to5mac in the latest post:
Leaked iOS 14 code obtained by 9to5Mac confirms many details about what to expect from Apple's upcoming hardware updates, including the new iPad Pro, iPhone 9, and AirTags. Apple is also developing a new Apple TV remote, the code indicates.
According to the report, the iOS 14 code confirms a new iPad Pro that will feature a triple camera with 3D functionality based on Time-of-Flight technology. The report states:
This camera setup will include a 3D time-of-flight sensor, a wide-angle lens, an ultra-wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens.
Thus, the latest discovery confirms previous rumors about the new professional tablet.
New Apple TV remote control coming
In addition to the iPad Pro, the iPhone 9 was also confirmed in iOS 14. The new entry-level device will, as expected, have Touch ID and contain the already known specifications such as the A13 chip. It is suspected that Apple primarily wants to appeal to iPhone 6 owners with the device - but not iPhone SE users, as was originally thought. Furthermore, Apple is said to have a new Apple TV remote control in development.
