According to some reports, the long-awaited successor to the iPhone SE could be the iPhone 9. Visually, it will be based on the iPhone 8. Exclusive renderings based on the previous reports have now been published.
The well-known leaker and concept designer Steve H. McFly, better known as OnLeaks, has published a new video in collaboration with iGeeksBlog that is intended to give us a precise idea of the upcoming iPhone 9. Based on various reports and leaks, the supposed iPhone SE successor was designed. The device could be a mix of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 11 Pro. While the iPhone 9 looks similar to the iPhone 8 from the front, according to OnLeaks it could have a back that resembles the iPhone 11 Pro. The report states:
OnLeaks believes that the back will be the distinguishing feature between the iPhone 8 and the new device, so he rendered a frosted glass back similar to the iPhone 11 Pro, instead of the glossy glass of the current iPhone 8.
The report explicitly emphasizes that the rendering is based on rumors and OnLeaks suspects such a design. It is expected that the iPhone SE successor will have a 4.7-inch display and will have the A13 chip inside. The camera will consist of just one lens, as with the iPhone 8. The presentation of the new entry-level device could take place this spring. (Photo by Yastremska / Bigstockphoto)
