The iPhone 14's satellite emergency calling will be expanded to four more countries, including Germany, next month.
Apple announced today that iPhone 14’s Emergency Satellite Calling and Find My Satellite features will be available in four more countries next month introduced. In the press release announcing the launch of Emergency SOS and Find My via Satellite for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, Apple states that the feature will also be available in France, Germany, Ireland and the UK in December.

iPhone 14 satellite emergency call likely to appear under iOS 16.2
In September, a report said that Apple would introduce the SOS satellite emergency call in more countries before the end of 2022, followed by other regions next year. However, no specific countries were listed. While the feature requires iOS 16.1 in the US and Canada, it is expected that it will be available in this country under iOS 16.2. iOS 16.2 is currently in the testing phase and should be made available to all users before Christmas.
