Since the launch of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max last week, some users of the devices have reported that they cannot be heard at an appropriate volume during phone calls made using CarPlay in a vehicle.
Affected users have reported this issue over the last three to four days on Reddit, Twitter and in the Apple Support Community documented. Most users reported that after making a call via CarPlay using an iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max, their voice sounded quiet or distant at the receiving location. Most complaints come from users with an iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max running iOS 16.0.1. But there are also users who are still running iOS 16 and are also affected by the bug.

It remains unclear what the cause of the problem is or how many users are actually affected. But it seems to be another bug that affects the iPhone 14 models. Apple plant to release an iOS 16 update as early as next week that fixes problems with the iPhone 14 Pro model's camera vibrating uncontrollably in certain apps, with the iPhone 14 Pro model freezing after transferring data from another iPhone, and with excessive copy and paste prompts. The CarPlay problem may also be fixed directly. (Image: Apple)
