Apple has now introduced four new iPhone 14 models. The interesting thing about these new releases is the fact that fans of large devices can now get a 6.7-inch iPhone for less. Interestingly, the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max are not only the same size but also have some features in common.
First of all, it is important to highlight the differences between these devices. The iPhone 14 Pro Max offers an always-on display, a new "Dynamic Island" cutout, a better A16 Bionic chip and a higher quality build with glass and stainless steel, as well as a much better camera - while the iPhone 14 Plus is equipped with glass and aluminum. There are also differences in the colors available for these models:
- iPhone 14 Plus: Blue, Violet, Midnight, Polar Star and (PRODUCT)RED
- iPhone 14 Pro Max: Dark Purple, Gold, Silver, Space Black.
Now we come to the similarities. Both devices have a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display. The two models have the following features in common:
- SOS emergency call via satellite: With the iPhone 14, you can subscribe to a satellite plan for emergency calls. However, the first two years are free (not available in this country for now).
- Accident detection: The new iPhones can now detect if you have been involved in a car accident and make an emergency call.
- Same front camera: The iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max have the same TrueDepth front camera with autofocus. The lenses also absorb more light, which improves low-light shots.
- IP68 certification: Both phones are waterproof up to a depth of 6 meters for up to 30 minutes.

Additional features on the iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Plus
The iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max have almost the same storage capacity as both models are available with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB of storage. The Pro version, on the other hand, also has a 1TB option.

Aside from the same front camera, the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max share a number of other camera features. Here's an overview:
- Photonic Engine
- Deep Fusion
- Smart HDR 4 for photos
- Portrait mode with extended bokeh and depth control
