While we wait for the official launch of the iPhone 13 series, the first reviews have appeared. They report that macro photography cannot currently be deactivated. However, this should change in the future.
As part of the iPhone 13 presentation, Apple introduced macro photography. The company describes the feature as follows:
With a redesigned lens and powerful autofocus system, the new ultra-wide-angle camera can focus to within 2 cm, making even the smallest details look epic. Turn a leaf into abstract art. Capture the fluff of a caterpillar. Magnify a dewdrop. The beauty of the tiny awaits you.
iPhone 13: Update should help
In addition to macro images, macro videos are also possible. The company explains:
Macro photos are just the beginning. You can also shoot macro videos – including slow motion and time lapse. Get ready for something.

But there is a catch. If you want to capture a subject up close without activating macro photography, you will not achieve your goal. The reason is that you cannot currently deactivate the feature. But Apple has now spoken out reported and promised an update. This means that the option to deactivate macro functions will be integrated in the next iOS updates. However, it is not known in which software version the option will actually appear. (Image: Apple)
