The first iOS 14.3 beta has a lot to offer. In addition to leaks, interesting features have also been added, including the ProRAW image format for the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Apple's ProRAW feature is a new image format that combines Apple's computational photography features with the benefits of RAW shooting. When shooting in RAW format, users usually lose the benefits of Apple's computational photography features such as Deep Fusion and Smart HDR. With the iPhone 12 Pro, users can shoot in the new Apple ProRAW format, which combines the two. Apple has created a completely new way of capturing images that combines multiple processing steps and merges them into a new image file at the time of shooting without any shutter lag. The feature was announced as part of the iPhone 12 launch and is now set to be introduced in iOS 14.3.

iPhone & iPad: When will iOS 14.3 be released?
The ProRAW image format can be used on iPhone 12 Pro devices in the Settings app. In the "Camera" section, the "Formats" area is expanded under iOS 14.3. Apple warns that each file in the ProRAW format will be about 25 MB in size. It says:
View camera controls for ProRAW. ProRAW is a 12-bit file that uses the linear DNG format to retain more information and a wider dynamic range in the file, providing additional flexibility when editing exposure and white balance. Each file is approximately 25MB in size.
Once the feature is enabled, users will see a new icon in the top right corner of the camera app. This allows the feature to be enabled or disabled via the camera app. It is currently unknown when iOS 14.3 will be made available to the public. The update could be released by the end of the year or early next year. AirPods Pro on special offer at Amazon – available now. (Image: Apple)
