Some devices in the iPhone 12 series are currently struggling with various problems, including battery life, cellular connectivity and wireless charging. Now Apple is promising an update.
Some iPhone 12 users are having difficulty mobile phone connection while others talk about the battery life complain. But there are also users who have noticed that some iPhone 12 models have a problem with wireless charging. It has already been reported in various forums that some devices do not recognize wireless charging mats. Restarting the iPhone has only helped many people temporarily. This means that in some cases the iPhone refuses to make contact with the charging mat. The reason for this is not known, however. But Apple seems to be aware of the problem, as is now being reported. The US blog 9to5mac writesthat Apple Support confirmed to a user that an update is in the works. The chat history states:
iPhone 12: Will iOS 14.3 or iOS 14.2.2 solve the problem?
Reader: What is the problem with iPhone 12 Pro Max charging? One day it charges wirelessly, the next day it doesn't. After a hard reboot it charges. There are 700 people on your Apple forums having the same problem.
Apple: OK, I understand your concern. We are working on it and it will be resolved in the coming days.
Reader: So Apple knows there is a problem?
Apple: Yes, we have gone through the issues customers are facing […] It will be resolved soon.”
The US blog reports that a direct request to the company was not answered. But the chat history at least confirms the assumption that it is a software-related problem. It remains unclear whether the solution will come under iOS 14.3 or possibly under iOS 14.2.2. Apple only released the third beta of iOS 14.3 this week. publishedIt is not yet known whether the update will be made available to all users by the end of the month.
