The iPhone 12 series has now been fully available in stores since Friday, November 13th. Apple has now confirmed an issue that is causing some users to have difficulties with MFi hearing aids.
Apple has a new support document published, which provides hearing aids with MFi certification (Made for iPhone). According to the report, there are users who experience problems with sound quality when using such accessories in combination with one of the iPhone 12 models. The company lists the following examples:
- Loud noise
- Broken or intermittent audio
- garbled sound

However, the error only occurs in connection with the current iPhone generation. According to Apple, they are aware of the problem. The whole thing will be corrected with a future software update, according to the company. This means that the hardware does not have to be replaced. It is not known when the update will be made available. Since iOS 14.2 was only recently released, a patch should be submitted soon. This could fix further errors. There is currently speculation as to whether Apple can fix a problem with touch recognition on the iPhone 12 mini with a software update.
