Apple introduced the new Smart Battery Case for the current iPhone generation this evening.
Apple has now finally released the new Smart Battery Case for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The new accessory was already announced in previous beta builds of iOS 13. This version of the Smart Battery Case differs from previous models in only one respect. For the first time, it has a camera button. Users of this case can press a button on the bottom left to open the camera app directly. It doesn't matter whether the iPhone is locked or unlocked. A short press opens the camera mode for pictures - if you hold the new button down for a longer period, you go straight into video recording mode.
The material used remains unchanged. The outside of the case is made of silicone and the inside has a microfiber lining. Apart from the new camera cutout and button, the case is almost identical to the previous models. When the new battery case is fully charged, Apple says it provides a total of 50 percent more battery life - for all three models. It can be charged as usual using a lightning cable - or wireless charging is also possible. The three new Smart Battery Cases can now be pre-ordered for the usual 149 euros. Delivery will begin on November 22nd. (Photo by hadrian / Bigstockphoto)
