As expected, Apple has introduced the third generation iPad Pro. Apple is launching the popular tablet with many new features in a completely new design.
The heart of the new iPad Pro is the A12X Bionic chip. Among other things, this provides an extra hour of battery life. The 64-bit processor is also supported by Apple's Neural Engine and the GPU is twice as fast as the previous model. According to Apple, it is even faster than 92% of all portable PCs.
In the benchmark test, all cores of the new iPad Pro achieved 18,106 points. For comparison: The A12 chip installed in the iPhone Xs could "only" achieve 11,167 points. Apple seems to have understated again. In multi-core mode, the iPad Pro can achieve the performance of a much more expensive MacBook Pro. A 2017 MacBook Pro with a Core i7 and 2.2 GHz managed 21,165 points, the version with a Core i9 and 2.9 GHz achieved 22,552 points.
