The iPad Pro 2021 series can be pre-ordered since yesterday. Apple has now published prices for service and repairs - without AppleCare+ it will be expensive.
Apple has now officially released the price list for iPad repairs updated. At up to 750.90 euros, a repair for the new fifth-generation iPad Pro 12.9″ is around 60 euros more expensive than for the previous model. The additional costs are probably due to the new mini-LED display, which is only available on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. However, the repair fee of 750.90 euros only applies if the user does not have AppleCare+. If the new iPad is damaged and has AppleCare+, the service fee is 49 euros, with two repairs for accidental damage possible every 12 months.
iPad Pro 2021: AppleCare+ coverage is recommended
Of course, users don't have to pay a fee if there is a manufacturing problem, as problems caused by Apple are covered by the standard one-year warranty. But if the warranty has expired and there is no AppleCare+, Apple charges the 750.90 euros. The price applies to all damage to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, including a broken display. With repair costs so high, AppleCare+ coverage is definitely recommended. This costs around 159 euros and is valid for two years. Alternatively, the whole thing is also available as a monthly policy for 8.49 euros. Anyone who purchases the new device can book AppleCare+ directly or take out a policy online up to 60 days after purchase. (Image: Apple)
