Apple released a brand new fourth-generation iPad Air in September presentedSales are scheduled to start in October – but it is not known exactly when.
The iPad Air 4 cannot yet be pre-ordered from Apple, and an official launch date is not yet known. But there are indications that the sales launch is imminent. According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Apple has started sending promotional material to retailers. On Twitter explained Gurman:
Apple's marketing materials for the new iPad Air are already hitting retail stores, suggesting a launch sooner rather than later.
As Gurman notes, Apple has dated the iPad Air 4's release as "October" without giving any further details, so the device could launch at any time. However, with Apple already providing promotional materials, it's safe to assume that sales will begin soon.
iPad Air 4: A top device in the mid-price segment
The iPad Air 4 has a brand new design and significantly more power. In the press release, Apple described it as follows:
