WhatsApp has released version 2.21.140.11 as a beta in TestFlight. Interestingly, this update brings a new interface for calls and a few more tweaks for this feature.
According to WABetaInfo see WhatsApp beta testers will see a new interface similar to FaceTime when making a call through the app. There's also a new ring button that lets you easily re-call a person who couldn't answer the call. Another feature introduced in this version of WhatsApp Beta is the ability to join an ongoing group call if you didn't answer at the time of the call.
When can you join a group call? If you are temporarily not participating in a group call and you open WhatsApp again after some time and the group call is still in progress, the app will present you with a notification that allows you to easily join the conversation.

WhatsApp tests multi-device compatibility and more
With the "Tap to join" banner in the call tab, the user can join the conversation with a simple confirmation. But that's not all. WhatsApp has recently started testing multi-device compatibility in the desktop app. According to WABetaInfo, users will be able to link up to four devices and a mobile phone to the same account. This will make it possible to use the app on the Mac or, in the not too distant future, on the official iPad app even when the phone is turned off or without a cellular connection. In parallel, WhatsApp is rolling out version 2.2126.11 of its web and desktop client, which includes a disappearing message feature and a new archive tab.
