Apple has just released the Release Candidate (RC) versions of iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, watchOS 11.4, tvOS 18.4, macOS 15.4, and visionOS 2.4 to registered developers and participants in the public beta program. The RC version is generally considered nearly identical to the final release—if no critical bugs emerge, this exact version will be rolled out to all users next week.
With the release of the RC versions, the beta phase is officially entering the home stretch. In recent weeks, the focus has been primarily on stability, performance, and fixing minor bugs. New features were already introduced in the first two betas of iOS 18.4 – the latest focus has been on fine-tuning and preparing for the rollout.

What does the release candidate mean for users?

The final rollout for watchOS 11.4, macOS 15.4, tvOS 18.4, and visionOS 2.4 is also just a matter of days.
