Apple officially introduced the new software generation at WWDC 2022. The company has now released the sixth preview of iOS 16, iPadOS 16, tvOS 16, watchOS 9 and macOS 13 Ventura for registered developers.
iOS 16 and Co. are due to be released in the fall, at the same time as new hardware, such as the "iPhone 14", and will bring with them a multitude of new features and other improvements. As is to be expected with a milestone release, the changes are far-reaching and include everything from the home screen to the apps within the mobile operating system. Apple is continuing its push to protect users' privacy and security in the latest version. But until the new software is made available to all users, the individual updates go through a beta phase. Apple has now released the sixth version for registered developers in developer portal and as an over-the-air update. It is not currently known what new features or changes have been made in the new version. However, as soon as we know more, we will of course report on it.
iOS 16 beta note:
As usual, a preview should not be installed on an actively used device, as they are usually quite unstable and prone to errors - we recommend a second device for this. (Photo by Unsplash / John Appleseed)
