Users of the third iOS 16.2 beta received a second Rapid Security Response update on Monday evening.
Apple intends to use Rapid Security Response Updates in the future to quickly close discovered security vulnerabilities that are actively exploited. A Rapid Security Response Update has already been released for the third beta of iOS 16.2. sent as a test. Now follows a second version.
iOS 16.2 Beta: Apple is testing “Rapid Security Response” updates
The update can be found in the Settings app in the same place where a normal update appears. This update is displayed as iOS Security Response 16.2 (b) version 20C7750490f. Users who trigger the Security Response update have the option to revert to the previous iOS version during this test.
