Earlier this week, Apple released iOS 16.1 and other updates to all users worldwide. Now there are increasing reports that the iPhone regularly and sometimes randomly interrupts the WiFi connection after updating to iOS 16.1.
According to various reports on Twitter, Reddit and Apple’s own forums, affected iPhones regularly and sometimes randomly disconnect throughout the day, even though their environment hasn't changed. Other users report that their iPhones sometimes disconnect from WiFi when they're in standby mode, such as overnight.
iOS 16.1 causes WiFi problems
Some users have tried resetting all network settings on their iPhones, but the reset seems to have no effect. Apple began beta testing iOS 16.2 this week, the next major update to the operating system, which is expected to be released by the end of the year. However, it is expected that Apple will provide a patch in the form of iOS 16.1.1 before the launch of iOS 16.2. When this will be the case remains to be seen. (Photo by Engdao / Bigstockphoto)
