The third beta of iOS 16.1, released earlier this week, extends the Adaptive Transparency feature introduced with the second-generation AirPods Pro to the previous model.
As on Reddit According to the post, owners of the first generation AirPods Pro who also have the beta software for the AirPods will now see a switch for "Adaptive Transparency" in the AirPods section of the Settings app. The beta firmware 5A304A is required to see the setting.

Apple first introduced Adaptive Transparency with the AirPods Pro 2. It is designed to allow the AirPods to block out loud noises like sirens, construction work, or loud speakers at a concert without suppressing all noise. The AirPods Pro 2 have an improved H2 chip that enables Adaptive Transparency. Therefore, it is not yet clear how Adaptive Transparency works in comparison to the H1 chip in the original AirPods Pro.
