Apple unveiled iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and more at WWDC 2021. The new software generation will be released this fall.
Apple has now officially introduced the next software generation for iPhone, iPad and Co. We can expect many interesting features that some of us have wanted for a long time. But which devices are now supported? Apple's Declarations According to Apple, all devices running iOS 14 will also support iOS 15 or iPadOS 15. This means that the iPhone 6S series will not be eliminated. Below is Apple's list of compatible iPhone devices:

- iPhone XS Max
- iPhone XR
- iPhone X
- iPhone 8
- iPhone 8 Plus
- iPhone 7
- iPhone 7 Plus

- iPhone SE (2nd generation)
- iPod touch (7th generation)
iOS 15 & iPadOS 15: Apple also takes older devices into account
As for iPadOS 15, it is compatible with a variety of older devices:

- iPad (7th generation)
- iPad (6th generation)

- iPad Air (3rd generation)
