Apple officially introduced iOS 15 at this year's WWDC keynote and shortly thereafter rolled out the first beta of the software for developers. The company announced that the beta would be released to public testers in July, but did not give a specific date. Now the time has come.
iOS 15 and Co. come with a ton of great features. There are a number of new features for FaceTime, including SharePlay, video calling, and web support for Android and Windows. There's the new Live Text feature in the Camera and Photos app, the new Focus mode, redesigned notifications, revamped Safari, and much more. If you're not a registered Apple developer and don't want to become one, or if you'd rather wait for a more mature beta version, the iOS 15 Public Beta might be just the thing for you.
iOS 15 Public Beta Released Earlier Than Expected
Apple has now somewhat surprisingly started to release the first public betas of iOS 15, iPadOS 15 and Co. so that everyone can enjoy the new features. If you are interested in the iOS 15 beta test, but are not familiar with it, you can read our article on the topic below.
Important beta note:
As usual, a preview should not be installed on an actively used device, as they are usually quite unstable and prone to errors - we recommend a second device for this. (Photo by oasisamuel / Bigstockphoto)
