For iCloud Keychain passwords, Apple has long offered security recommendations for weak, compromised, or repeated passwords that need to be updated for maximum protection. But in some situations, passwords are used that are affected but cannot be changed for various reasons. This results in annoying warnings, and this is where iOS 15.4 comes into play.
With the iOS 15.4 and macOS 12.3 update (via Ricky Mondello) allows you to hide any security recommendations listed in the Passwords section of the Settings app. Simply tap a notification, then tap the new "x" button next to the security recommendation you want to hide. In previous versions of iOS, there was no way to hide security recommendations other than to disable them entirely. Hidden security alerts will no longer appear under the main "Security Recommendations" label.
iOS 15.4: Hide security recommendations
But you can still see them if you need them by opening the Passwords interface and scrolling down, where there is a new "Hidden Security Recommendations" option. In this section, you will find all the recommendations that have been hidden. The option to hide security recommendations can be useful for passwords that you cannot change for some reason. This lets you display the warnings in a section without bringing them to the forefront. If you want to reset the security recommendations and make them visible again, there is an option for that too. With iOS 15.4, you can also add a note to any iCloud Keychain password if you need more information about a password. You can find all the new features in iOS 15.4 here.
