iOS 15.4 is, as many of you already know, a big update because it includes a lot of interesting features. With iOS 15.4 Beta 3, another feature was integrated, namely the query of the emergency contact.
Right after installing the latest iOS 15.4 update on an iPhone, the Settings app displays a prompt asking the user to check the settings of the Emergency Call feature, which allows calling emergency contacts when any volume button is pressed along with the side button. It seems that it only appears for users who do not have emergency contacts set up on their iPhone. Tapping the prompt takes you to the SOS emergency settings.
iOS 15.4 reminds of the SOS emergency call functions
Once you or someone using your iPhone triggers the emergency call, iOS will automatically send a message with your phone's current location to the people you select. Perhaps Apple wants to make sure more people have this feature enabled, as it can certainly save lives in an emergency. Of course, if you haven't set up emergency contacts on your iPhone yet, you don't have to wait for iOS 15.4 to do so. You can enable the SOS emergency call feature in the Settings app, while you can select emergency contacts in the Health app. Looking for new accessories?
