iOS 15.4 and Co. contain numerous new features, including Universal Control and Face ID with mask. Now the third beta version also includes the Apple Podcasts app.
Apple quietly updated its Podcasts app in the third iOS 15.4 beta to include new filtering options when browsing shows in your library or the Apple Podcasts catalog. When you select a podcast, there's now the option to filter episodes by played, unplayed, downloaded, or saved. You can access the filters by tapping "Episodes" or the "See All" button, which will show you a list of all the sorting options. But that's not all.
Apple Podcasts app benefits from iOS 15.4
In 2017, Apple added support for seasons to Apple Podcasts with iOS 11, allowing creators to highlight which episodes are part of each season. With iOS 15.4, users can finally filter episodes by a specific season, rather than seeing them all together in a list. With iOS 15.4 Beta 3, released to developers on Tuesday evening, those who update to the latest iOS version will also see a "What's New" screen that describes all of these new features.
