Apple released the second beta of iOS 15.2 earlier this week. Now a small extension has been discovered that is specifically designed for iPhone 13 Pro models.
Apple has added a Macro mode switch to the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max in iOS 15.2 Beta 2, which appears when the automatic macro function is disabled in the settings. This allows users to manually control the macro mode directly in the camera app. The new feature, which was first reported by Aaron Zollo discovered displays a flower icon in the bottom left of the screen when the camera is close enough to an object to trigger macro mode. Users can then tap the flower icon to enable or disable macro mode.
iOS 15.2: Macro mode on iPhone 13 Pro becomes more flexible
To use the new option, users need to go to iOS Settings and open the Camera section. There, the Auto Macro option must be disabled. Then, when you get close enough to an object, the switch will appear automatically. In addition, there are also new settings for Auto Macro that can be retained. By default, the iPhone 13 Pro automatically switches to macro mode when it gets close enough to an object, which has led to macro mode sometimes being activated under undesirable circumstances. So the new switch is a significant improvement over the current implementation in iOS 15.1, where users have to go to Settings to turn macro mode off completely if they want to temporarily disable it.
