In honor of World Emoji Day today, Apple has unveiled the new emojis that will be released on iPhone, iPad and Mac, as well as Apple Watch devices later this year. As detailed by Emojipedia described, the new characters include a ninja, a boomerang, a coin, and more. The Unicode Consortium approved these symbols as part of Emoji 13.0 earlier this year, but now we're seeing Apple's version for the first time.
117 new emojis to come in 2020
- Dodo
- nesting dolls
- piñata
- tamale
- finger
- boomerang
- Ninja
- coin
- anatomical heart
- beaver
- transgender symbol
- bubble tea
- lungs

A total of 117 new characters are expected. Apple itself, however, only wanted to highlight a few. The company usually releases new emojis in the fall. iOS 14.1 or iOS 14.2 will probably contain the new faces. Last year, for example, the new emojis were rolled out under iOS 13.2, while in 2018 the new range was already available under iOS 12.1. The next iOS generation has one advantage - in the future, certain emojis can also be searched for using the keyboard. A search field has been implemented above the collection for this purpose.
