Late Tuesday evening, Apple released the third beta of iOS 14.5 for registered developers providedNow further information about Apple Card Family support has been discovered.
When Apple released the first beta of iOS 14.5 to developers in early February, hints discoveredthat point to a new “Apple Card Family” feature. Now the third beta has been made available, which contains further hints in the code – the reported the US blog 9to5mac. We already know that the Apple Card Family feature, internally called "Madison," will allow users to share the same Apple Card with other family members via iCloud Family Sharing. The code suggests that the card owner will be able to set a spending limit for each invited user, just like with the additional cards.
iOS 14.5: Apple Card is being expanded
Now the code has been expanded. According to the current status, Apple Card owners can choose between two different types of approval. With "Allow spending only", guest users do not have access to the total balance, settings and transaction history. To enable these functions for guest members, the card owner must select the "Become a co-owner" option. Interestingly, when users invite a family member as a co-owner, the Wallet app offers the option for the invited member to enter their own credit score instead of sharing the same credit score. To do this, the invited person must submit their social security number to Goldman Sachs Bank to enable a separate credit report. Based on the latest discovery, it can be assumed that Apple will introduce the feature soon. Apple's credit card is not yet available in this country. When this will change remains to be seen. There is no concrete information so far, at least. (Photo by nikkimeel / Bigstockphoto)
