As expected, hints of new devices were found in the current iOS 12.2 beta – in this case, the much-anticipated AirPods 2.
After countless rumors about new AirPods, Apple itself has now provided confirmation. According to the code in iOS 12.2, the setup process is described in detail - this includes, among other things, the "Hey Siri" function. As is well known, the first generation of AirPods must be tapped to start Siri. According to the description, the new chip is said to be significantly better - the AirPods 2 process the voice command independently. This new discovery confirms all previous rumors about a release of the AirPods 2 in the first half of the year. The next keynote is expected in March or April.

AirPods 2 with Bluetooth 5.0
The AirPods 2 are set to have more features and be more expensive. These include better noise compensation and moisture protection. The wireless range is also set to be increased. It is also possible to integrate biometric sensors. According to the latest rumors, the popular earbuds will be equipped with Bluetooth 5.0, a pedometer and a heart rate monitor.
