Apple recently released the iOS 12.1 beta for developers and public testers. What's special about it is that it quietly and secretly has the dual SIM function activated.
As the online magazine iPhone-Ticker.de reports, Apple has fully activated the eSim in the current iOS beta. This can currently be used with Deutsche Telekom. Users can freely name the accounts in the dual-SIM option. For example, the classic: "Private" and "Work".
Here you can set the default line for phone calls, SMS and mobile data. Apple has further optimized the range of the settings. Users can now specify which phone number should be activated for Facetime and iMessage. You can also set which contact should be called with which phone number. It remains to be seen whether Apple will expand this feature. It is not yet known when iOS 12.1 will be released. A possible date would be October. In addition to the dual SIM function, Facetime group chat will also be introduced.
