Just a few hours before the official keynote, press photos the iPhone 12 series leaked - the HomePod mini also had to suffer. This is what the new Siri smart speaker looks like.
While the design of the iPhone 12 series has been "known" for months, the shape of the new HomePod mini remained unknown until just now – Apple almost pulled it off. Leaker Evan Blass has also published press images for the new smart speaker. The new model is shown in black and white. While the classic HomePod has a rounded, cylindrical design, it appears that the HomePod mini will feature a more spherical design. A flatter top houses touch controls for volume, playback, and more. The familiar Siri light is also visible.

HomePod mini: Available from mid-November
If the previous rumors are true, the device will cost around $99 and will have the so-called S5 processor. While the classic HomePod is 6.8 inches high, the HomePod mini will be 3.3 inches high. The device is said to hit the shelves on November 16th. Mark Gurman, Bloomberg journalist and Apple leaker, has already claimed that the device will have two tweeters. As a reminder, the classic Siri speaker has seven tweeters. This was the only way Apple could reduce costs. The sound should still be of high quality, however.
