The time has finally come. After countless rumors and leaks, Apple has now officially introduced the iPhone 12 series. A brand new design, significantly more performance, a better camera and more - these are the new iPhone 12 models.
As expected, Apple unveiled the new iPhone generation at the "Hi, Speed" event. The iPhone 12 comes in four versions, with two of the models entering the race as Pro variants. They all have several things in common - one of which is the brand new design. Apple's new smartphone range now has an iPad Pro-like design. While the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 come with aluminum frames, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max devices have, as expected, a stainless steel component. According to Apple, all four devices have a new, more robust display with OLED technology - it goes by the name "Super Retina XDR". The company has not only improved the display but also strengthened the glass from which it is made. This is how the Pursue:
We call it Ceramic Shield. It goes beyond glass by adding a new high-temperature crystallization step that grows nano-ceramic crystals within the glass matrix to dramatically improve toughness.
In addition, all models support the new 5G standard. The heart of the new smartphone generation from Cupertino is the brand new A14 Bionic processor.
iPhone 12: The differences
The four new devices differ in a few key ways. While the iPhone 12 mini measures 5.4 inches, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro have a 6.1-inch display. The iPhone 12 Pro Max takes on the role of the flagship with its 6.7 inches. The two cheaper devices also have a dual camera, while the Pro versions offer a triple camera with LiDAR scanner. Specifically, the iPhone 12 Pro has the following camera specifications: LiDAR + wide angle with 7P lens, f/1.6, 52 mm focal length telephoto, 4x optical zoom. The iPhone 12 Pro Max offers a similar device, with the difference that the device has a 5x optical zoom up its sleeve.
