Apple has announced in a press release that it will be expanding the GarageBand app for iOS and iPadOS with new sound packs and remix sessions from some of the world's top artists and producers.
With the new update, Apple is introducing new Sound Packs and Producer Packs from some of the world's most popular artists and music producers, including Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga. GarageBand users can hone their remixing skills with sessions from these two artists. During the sessions, they can interact with isolated vocal, beat and instrument tracks from Dua Lipa's "Break My Heart" and Lady Gaga's "Free Woman," Apple explains.
Apple: “A catalyst for music production”
In addition, the sessions will include videos of the artists explaining the story behind their songs. The “Remix Sessions” are an extension of the existing educational sessions offered as part of the “Today at Apple” program. Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, said follows:
GarageBand continues to be a catalyst for music production—making it easy for beginners to get started and seasoned pros to develop their ideas on the go. For this update, we've worked with an incredible group of artists and producers to give musicians an amazing collection of new sounds to play with, and we hope even more people will be inspired to tap into their creativity and make music with GarageBand.

GarageBand for iPhone & iPad: Apple TV+ Companion Pack
In addition to the "Remix Sessions," Apple is also making available a variety of royalty-free loops, beats, instruments, drum kits, synth patches and samples created by Boys Noize, Mark Lettieri, Oak Felder, Soulection, Take A Daytrip, Tom Misch and TRAKGIRL. The company is also releasing an additional Sound Pack that will serve as a companion experience for the upcoming Apple TV+ original series "Watch the Sound With Mark Ronson," which will be an exploration of the intersection between music and technology. The Companion Pack lets users try out the music technology featured in each episode of the series for themselves. The new Remix Sessions and Producer Packs will be available as a free download in the GarageBand sound library starting Thursday. GarageBand itself is available for free in the App Store for iPhone and iPad users. (Image: Apple)
