Apple CEO Tim Cook announced yesterday that Apple will make a donation to support the regions affected by the floods in Western Europe.
In Germany and Belgium, the countries most affected so far, hundreds of people have died as a result of the severe storms. Now Tim Cook has confirmed a donation on behalf of Apple on his personal Twitter profile. writes he in the article:
Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the devastating floods in Germany, Belgium and Western Europe. Apple will donate to support relief efforts.
This is not the first time Apple has donated
According to several reports, at least 125 people have died in Western Europe, while many others are homeless or missing. It is also estimated that around 20,000 people are without electricity and access to clean water due to the floods. While rescue efforts in the region continue, it is possible that more deaths will be confirmed in the coming days. This is not the first time that Apple has donated to help humanitarian causes or support relief efforts due to natural disasters. Back in 2020, the Apple CEO announced a "significant donation" of medical supplies and more to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic. (Photo by Unsplash / Carles Rabada)
