After some rumors and leaks last week, Apple has unveiled the new Apple Watch Ultra, an oversized and rugged version that focuses on fitness.
The Apple Watch Ultra differs from the Apple Watch Series 8 in a few areas. To accommodate the premium size, the Apple Watch Ultra uses a large titanium case that offers greater protection than the steel and aluminum versions of the other models. Everything on the Apple Watch Ultra has been equipped with advanced sensors to help users in many extreme situations. For example, there is an additional GPS module for improved triangulation even when the GPS would normally fail.

The WR100 rating allows users to dive up to 100 meters below the water's surface. When you dive, Apple Watch displays the depth on the watch face. Another change is on the side, with the Digital Crown and side button now on a small extended section on one edge. The Digital Crown is slightly recessed in this area, also to provide more protection.

The Action Button is orange and can be pressed to activate special functions under certain conditions. Inside, the Apple Watch Ultra uses the new S8 chip. The pre-orders will be accepted starting today, while the devices will be delivered starting September 23. All Apple Watch Ultra models cost $799. (Image: Apple)
