The social network Facebook was unavailable on Monday evening at around 10:42 p.m. CEST.
Users received the message “Facebook is currently down for maintenance, but you should have access again in a few minutes” was displayed. In English, the message “Sorry, something went wrong. We`re working on getting this fixed as soon as we can“ appears.
What caused the disruption remains unknown for the time being. Facebook's subsidiary Instagram also seemed to be affected. Facebook was founded in 2004 and Today, it has over two billion users worldwide.
