This year, Apple introduced three new iPhone models with many similarities. To the delight of many, the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr were equipped with an eSIM.
For example, anyone who wanted to use the eSim in the Apple Watch had to resort to Deutsche Telekom or Vodafone. Telefonica customers were disappointed. Now that is set to change. The mobile phone provider announced that it will support the eSim for Apple Watch and iPhone from November 21st. The option is only offered to contract customers - just like with Vodafone. Only Telekom also offers the option with prepaid cards.
What is an eSim?
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is an integrated SIM that is already built into the device as a chipset and can be assigned a mobile phone tariff at any time.
