This year, Apple introduced three new iPhone models with many similarities. To the delight of many, the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr were equipped with an eSIM.
For example, anyone who wanted to use the embedded SIM in the Apple Watch had to resort to Deutsche Telekom or Vodafone. Telefonica customers were disappointed until recently. Almost two weeks ago, the mobile phone provider announced that it would support the new function itself from November 21st. However, there is a small catch.
At launch, not all embedded SIM capable devices will be supported. However, this should change soon. Currently, these include the Samsung Galaxy Watch LTE and the new iPhone models. The Apple Watch is not yet compatible with the O2 eSim.
O2 customers have the option of switching from an existing SIM to an eSIM free of charge. The order can be placed either via the My O2 web portal, the O2 apps or via the hotline.
This is how to set up the eSim on the iPhone Xs, iPhoneXs Max and iPhone Xr.
