Nintendo today unveiled its latest handheld console – the Nintendo Switch LiteIt differs from its big sister in some ways – but what about the battery life?
The Nintendo Switch Lite is a smaller and cheaper version of the original Nintendo Switch. The console, which will be available from September 20th, can only be used in handheld mode, unlike its larger counterpart. Despite a few savings, the Lite version of the Switch is impressive. But the most important question - as with any mobile device - is the battery life. While the Nintendo Switch lasts for around 2.5 - 6.5 hours, the new Lite version can provide around 3 - 7 hours of gaming fun. The popular role-playing game is often The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as an example. If the game is played on the large Switch, it can last around three hours. However, if the same game is played on the Switch Lite, the battery should last around four hours.
Battery life depends on several factors
The battery life depends on several factors, of course – one of them is the screen brightness. If this is set low, the battery will of course last longer – but this is not always possible – for example in a bright environment. Another factor is the game itself – some of the titles use more energy from the start, which is why the battery life can vary. Although the new Lite version of the Nintendo Switch is smaller overall, it still has an impressive battery life. If that is not enough for you, you can buy a power bank, for example – our recommendation would be the Litionite Vulcan Plus 100W / 20000mAh with USB-A and USB-C port on Amazon - this power bank is also suitable for iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro - a quick charge function is also available. Although the Switch Lite lasts longer than the original, it does have some limitations. As already mentioned, it can only be operated in handheld mode. For the price of 200 US dollars, the new device is still recommended - but if you want more, you can go for the large Nintendo Switch on Amazon
