On March 13, Apple closed all retail stores outside of Greater China until further notice due to the Corona crisis. The first store is now set to reopen soon.
The Apple Stores were closed on March 17th and were originally scheduled to remain closed until March 27th. However, the coronavirus pandemic forced Apple to extend the closure of its retail stores – until today. While a reopening in the US is not planned before May, the first Apple Store is now scheduled to open on April 18th in South Korea resume business, but with a reduced workforce.
Online store still available
According to initial information, this will mainly concern the Genius Bar. According to an internal memo, Apple is planning to resume operations in stages. Each market will be assessed individually. If certain conditions are not met, the stores will remain closed. It is currently unknown when the first Apple stores will open in Germany.
