New images and specifications of the “Beats Studio Buds” have appeared in a Taiwanese government database, suggesting a possible imminent release.
Compared to current Beats By Dre headphones or Apple's AirPods, the "Beats Studio Buds" feature a significantly smaller design without ear hooks - a form factor similar to earbuds released by Google or Samsung. The existence of the "Beats Studio Buds" was first revealed in an iOS beta in May. In the run-up to a possible release, the earbuds keep popping up in regulatory databases. On May 24, for example, the plugs were discovered in an FCC document. Now more pictures and details about the unreleased earbuds have appeared in the database of the National Communications Commission in Taiwan.

Beats Studio Buds have already been spotted in the wild twice
The images provided by MacRumors discovered confirm the size of the headphones. Another picture shows the oval housing, which is supposed to be charged via a USB-C port.

In addition to the black color that can be seen in the images in the database, models in white and red are also planned. It remains unclear when the new audio accessories will actually be presented to the public. After all, the unreleased earphones have already been spotted in the wild. LeBron James, for example, was seen wearing them in an Instagram post on May 26th. The Beats also made an appearance in a music video by the artist Roddy Ricch. In addition to the "Beats Studio Buds", Apple is also working on a successor to the AirPods, which could combine design elements of the standard AirPods and the AirPods Pro. (Image: Roddy Ricch)
