Nomad has recently officially launched the Base Station Pro – a great AirPower alternative – in the range The intuitive charging station will go on sale at the end of September. Now the company has listened to fans' feedback and made a change.
The Nomad Base Station Pro is a great charger. The Qi charging station can charge up to three devices at once and does not have a fixed charging zone. This means that the devices can simply be placed on the charger and then charged. This is the freedom that Apple promised us with AirPower. But there is one criticism. While two iPhones and AirPods can be charged, for example, the Apple Watch is left empty-handed. The charging mat is not compatible with the world's most popular smartwatch. Reason enough for some to say no. But Nomad is not a company that ignores feedback. Quite the opposite.
Base Station Pro: Nomad listens
The accessories manufacturer has now promised to include a free charging adapter suitable for the Apple Watch with every Base Station Pro. There is, however, a small catch. The adapter cannot charge the watch itself. The usual Apple Watch charging cable is required for this, as can be seen in the picture. The solution will certainly not suit everyone, but it shows that the company is listening and is trying to improve.
Even though the element has to be attached to the charging station, the whole thing still looks pretty good. According to Nomad, the adapter is included with every Base Station Pro, but it is shipped separately.
