According to the App Annie platform, Facebook was the most downloaded application in the iOS App Store and Google PlayStore. But that's not all. After Facebook come Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram. The Facebook group takes the first four places in the list thanks to its four applications. The full list, entitled "A Look Back At the Top Apps & Games of the Decade," looks like this:

- Skype
- TikTok
- UC Browser
- YouTube

Looking at the most downloaded apps of the decade, Facebook dominated the mobile space, representing the top four most downloaded apps of the decade with Facebook, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram. Communication and social media apps are audience favorites, accounting for 7 of the top 10 apps by downloads this decade. In the consumer spending space, video streaming and music apps were well represented, with Netflix, Pandora Music and Tencent Video all in the top five. Tinder was the most successful dating app of the decade in terms of consumer spending, coming in second overall behind Netflix.
