Apple's annual meeting of shareholders will be held on Friday, March 10 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time, according to an SEC filing released today.
Anyone who would like to attend the Annual General Meeting, vote and ask questions can use the virtual assembly website and enter a control number that is in the notice about the online availability of the proxy materials, which will be provided to shareholders. Apple says online access will open approximately 15 minutes before the meeting begins, but questions can be submitted until Thursday, March 9 at 8:59 p.m. Pacific Time. All shareholders of record at the close of business on January 9, 2023 will be eligible to vote.
Apple's annual general meetings are not particularly exciting
Agenda items include re-election of the board of directors, confirmation of Ernst & Young LLP as Apple's accounting firm, approval of executive compensation, and voting on shareholder proposals, among others. Apple's annual shareholder meetings are usually not very interesting to the public, as the company's executives often give only vague answers and avoid talking about future products. Still, the meetings occasionally reveal a few interesting pieces of news. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the meetings were held in person at the Steve Jobs Theater. (Photo by Unsplash / Carles Rabada)
