The watchOS 8.4 Release Candidate version, which was distributed yesterday evening, fixes a bug that may cause some Apple Watch chargers to not work properly with the Apple Watch.
Last month we reported a growing number of charging issues reportedthat Apple Watch Series 7 owners have been facing. Since watchOS 8.3, there have been a number of complaints about third-party chargers not working as expected. For many users, the chargers refused to charge the Apple Watch Series 7 at all. Many of the reports focused on cheaper chargers from third-party retailers like Amazon.
watchOS 8.4 and Co. will be released next week
But there have also been complaints about higher-end chargers. Some people even had problems with Apple's own Apple Watch charging pucks. According to Apple's watchOS 8.4 update description, the software a bug that can cause some Apple Watch chargers to not work, suggesting that the charging problems will come to an end with the release of watchOS 8.4. Apple has not yet announced when watchOS 8.4 and Co. will be officially released. However, it is expected that the updates will be released early next week. (Image: Apple)
