The repair experts at iFixit have now released a teardown video of the Apple Watch Ultra, which takes a closer look at the inside of the watch and its components.
Although the Apple Watch Ultra has four exposed pentalobe screws on the back that allow quick access to the inside of the watch, the device is, according to iFixit not easy to repair. For example, after removing the rear case cover, a seal that is responsible for the water resistance of the Apple Watch Ultra was immediately broken, according to iFixit. In order to access parts such as the battery and the Taptic Engine, the display must also be removed.
Apple Watch Ultra: Available now
In line with a previous report, the teardown confirms that the Apple Watch Ultra will feature a 542mAh battery, which is 76% larger than the 308mAh battery found in the Apple Watch Series 8, also pictured.

The teardown also offers a closer look at the Ultra's significantly larger speaker, which reviews say makes for louder phone calls. The Apple Watch Ultra has been available since Friday, September 23. Priced at €999, the high-end watch offers a robust design with a 49mm titanium case, a flat display, outdoor bands, water resistance to a depth of 100 meters, a customizable bright orange "action" button, a battery life of up to 60 hours with a power saving function and much more - to the video.
